The 36-year-old was taken to hospital to undergo a scan after clashing heads with Leon Barnett.
"He was awake, although a bit groggy, before he got into the ambulance," said Everton assistant boss Alan Irvine.
"But because he was unconscious, he has to have a compulsory amount of time out. But he is OK."
